One Thumb Games · last updated 13 October 2026
Who we are
We are One Thumb Games, a small studio that makes games you can play with one thumb. This policy covers every game we publish, on iPhone and on Android, and this website. Today that is No Brakes, Roost Rows, Lexicrab, Lily Escape and Munchpix. Where something only applies to one platform or to some of the games, we say so.
The short version
There are no accounts. We run no servers that hold your play data. Your progress lives on your device, and on iPhone a copy can sit in your own iCloud. Our puzzle games download their level files from a server of ours, which keeps a standard access log. Our games show ads, and the ad provider collects some data to do that. The details follow.
What stays on your device
- Your runs, best scores, daily streak, the look you picked for your car, and settings.
- In the puzzle games: the levels you have solved, your stars and your daily results.
- The name you choose to put on challenge links.
- Counters the game uses to limit how often ads appear, whether an ad-free pass is running and when it ends, and whether you bought Remove ads.
This is saved in the game's own storage on your device. We cannot see it, and we have no copy of it.
iCloud sync (iPhone)
On iPhone, a game can keep a small copy of your stats, your settings and the Remove ads flag in Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so that they follow you to a new phone. That copy belongs to your Apple account and is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. It is stored with your account, not with us: we cannot read it, and we never receive it. If iCloud is off for the game, nothing is synced and the game works the same.
Level downloads (puzzle games)
Roost Rows, Lexicrab, Lily Escape and Munchpix download their level files (the daily puzzle
and the level packs) from our own server, data.onethumbgames.fun. As with any
download, that server sees your IP address, the time of the request and your device's user
agent, and writes them to a standard access log. The log is kept for a short time and is not
linked to a profile of you.
No accounts
You never sign up with us. We do not ask for an email address, a phone number or a password.
Challenge links
A challenge link carries the road number, your distance, the stage you reached and the name
you chose, written into the link itself. Anyone you send it to can read those, and so can
anyone they pass it on to. We do not store them. A link shared from one of our games may end
in ?ref=share. That only says the visit came from a shared link; it does not
identify you or the person who sent it.
Game Center (iPhone)
If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, a game can post your score to its leaderboards and record its achievements. The name shown there is your Game Center nickname, which Apple manages under Apple's privacy policy. If you are not signed in, nothing is posted.
Purchases
Remove ads is a one-time purchase, in the games that offer it. On iPhone it is sold through Apple In-App Purchase, and on Android through Google Play Billing. Apple or Google takes the payment; we never see your card number or any other payment detail. The game only learns from the store, on your device, whether the purchase exists.
Ads
Our games show ads from Google. In the apps that is Google AdMob: a banner, full-screen ads, and optional rewarded videos that you choose to watch. In a browser it is Google AdSense, with display ads and Google's ads for web games (H5 Games Ads). Full-screen ads never interrupt a run or a puzzle in progress; display ads, where shown, sit outside the play area. In No Brakes no ad is shown during a run. To pick and measure ads, Google collects data such as your IP address and the rough location that goes with it, information about your device and the app or browser, how you interact with ads, and your device's advertising identifier where you allow it.
- The apps. No banner sits on a screen where you are playing. Full-screen ads come between runs or puzzles, and rewarded videos only when you tap to watch one.
-
The puzzle games in a browser (at
play.onethumbgames.fun) show display ads while a puzzle is open: a fixed banner below the board and, on wide screens, one beside it, plus display ads on their home and end screens. Full-screen ads there come only between puzzles or when you tap to watch one. - No Brakes in a browser is described under "This website" below.
- Consent on the web. Where the law requires it (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Google's consent message asks for your choice, and in US states that give you the right it offers an opt-out. If you have not chosen, or you say no, we ask Google for non-personalised ads only. Google's ad code can use cookies and your browser's local storage.
- Consent. Where the law requires it, Google's consent tool (the User Messaging Platform) asks for your choice before any ad is requested. You can change that choice later in the game's Settings, under Privacy choices.
- iPhone. iOS asks whether the app may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you say no, the app does not get your advertising identifier and ads are not personalised.
- Android. Ads use the Android advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your device settings, under Privacy, Ads.
- The game plays the same whatever you choose.
- Buying Remove ads turns off the banner and the full-screen ads.
- Ad-free until midnight. In the puzzle games, watching two rewarded videos turns the banner and the full-screen ads off until midnight, your local time. The pass is kept on your device.

Analytics, only if enabled
Some builds, in the apps and in a browser, can send anonymous usage events to PostHog, so we can see which parts of a game work: for example that a run started or ended, how far it went, or that a share button was pressed. An event carries a random install identifier, not your name or any contact detail. Nothing is sent before your consent choice is known, and nothing is sent in regions where consent is required and has not been given. Builds without analytics send nothing at all.
This website
The pages on this site (onethumbgames.fun) run no analytics, and the legal pages and challenge links carry no ads. As with any website, the service that delivers the pages sees your IP address in order to send them to you. The browser version of No Brakes keeps three things in your browser's local storage and nowhere else: your settings, the name you put on challenge links, and a count of today's free runs. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.
Ads on the studio and game pages. The studio home page and the pages about each game may show one labelled ad from Google AdSense, away from the buttons. What is said below about Google's cookies and data applies to those pages too.
Ads in the browser version of No Brakes. The playable page (/nobrakes/play) shows ads through Google AdSense: a full-screen ad between some runs, an optional ad you choose to watch to continue a run, and one labelled ad on the result screen. There is never an ad while you are driving. On that page Google's ad code is loaded only once you are on a screen other than the road. To pick and measure ads, Google and its partners use cookies and similar storage in your browser and collect data such as your IP address, rough location, browser and device details and how you interact with ads.
These pages do not show Google's consent message yet. Until it does, if your browser's time zone or language suggests you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask Google for non-personalised ads only. Non-personalised ads are not based on your past behaviour, but Google still uses cookies or similar storage for them, for example to limit how often you see an ad and to fight fraud. Elsewhere, ads may be personalised. You can turn personalised ads off at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Blocking cookies for this site in your browser does not stop the game from working.
Children
Our games are rated 13+ and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will help.
Resetting or deleting your data
- On your device: open the game's Settings and use Reset progress, or delete the app.
- In iCloud: iPhone Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, then choose the game and delete its data.
- Ad consent: the game's Settings, Privacy choices (shown where it applies).
- Tracking permission: iPhone Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking.
Because we hold no copy of your play data, there is nothing on our side to delete. The access log of the level server is not linked to a profile and is kept for a short time. For data held by Apple or Google, their own tools and policies apply.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant, we will say so in the game or on this site.
